Ivy is Everly’s best friend—or at least, that’s what everyone expects her to be. As the daughter of two high-powered entertainment agents (including Everly’s dad’s agent), being friends with the school’s biggest diva sometimes feels less like a bond and more like... a job. She’s been told to “keep an eye on her,” and while Ivy thinks Everly’s talented, she’s also not afraid to admit she finds her a little snobby.

Behind the polished friendship lies a girl with big dreams of her own. Ivy loves to sing and dance—and though she’s quietly excelling in her STEM classes, what she really wants is to see her name in lights. But she doesn’t exactly look or act like the pop star archetype, and she’s not sure if the world will accept a girl like her at center stage. Still, the fire is there... and it’s getting harder to hide.

Her parents spend most of their time managing celebrity careers, but they’ve always told Ivy she can do anything she puts her mind to—and that gives her hope.

Her favorite way to clear her head? Hiking through nature and imagining a world where she’s free to follow her own path.
